What is ICHD

Currently, there are 7 MBC^HD Channels that can be found on the box starting from channel number 1 onwards: MBC^HD, MBC2^HD, MBC MAX^HD, Al Arabia^HD (News), MBC4^HD, MBC Action^HD and MBC Drama^HD. In addition the MBC HD channels, there are over 18 Free To Air HD channels that can also be accessed using the same decoder including 10 HD Sports channels from Saudi TV, Dubai TV, AL Kass and a number of GE channels including Dream HD, Al Wattan HD and more…

The Technosat box does not carry OSN channels yet. However, for ADM, and Al Jazeera Sports, you will need to buy a separate CAM and Smart Card, insert them card into the cam properly and then insert the CAM into the CI slot. For information on how to do this, refer to the CAM instructions or call a Technosat dealer near you.

Yes, you just need to ensure those satellites are installed, the HD Decoder is capable of scanning all free-to-air channels on all major satellites in the world as long as the dishes installed can see these satellites.

The box is ready to install. If you already have a Nilesat connection, then simply connect the satellite cable (coaxial cable that connects your box to the satellite) to LNB input on the back of the box. Then connect the HDMI cable to the back of the box and the back of the TV. Switch TV on and turn channel to the relevant HDMI channel. Switch box on and follow the installation instructions. If you do not have a Nilesat installation, then please call any of the Technosat dealers near you or the dealer from which you purchased this box. If for any reason you are unable to reach a dealer near you, feel free to contact ICHD directly on 800 8786 (within UAE) or +971 800 8786 (outside UAE) and we will arrange for a qualified technician to visit your premises.

All cards and decoders are pre-activated for your convenience. However, should you need to re-activate your decoder, you need card Smartcard number and Chipset ID. The Smart Card number is located on the Smart Card and the chipset ID can be found on the back of the decoder. Or you may look at the stickers pasted on the bottom-side of original box packaging.

At present, you can view MBC HD Channels on Nilesat only.

Registration is very important. In order to continue to view your favorite channels without any interruption, you will need to register your box and smart card with ICHD. This is the only way ICHD will be able to assist you in the future. Registration is very easy. You can register through any of the methods below:

1. Visit the ICHD website (www.ichd.com), on the Home page, click the yellow tab "REGISTER" and fill in the details (we need to remove dealer code and add Name, email, phone and country (pull down menu. We also need to reorder the sequence of data entry). Or,
2. Complete and fax the registration form supplied in the box to ICHD on +971 4 450-8617. Or,
3. Call the ICHD Customer Care Centre 800 8786 (within UAE) +971 800 8786 (from outside the UAE) and one of our customer service representatives will be able to help you
4. Email: your details to ichd@ichd.com. The details that you’ll need to email are
1. Full Name
2. Smart Card Number (located on the smart card)
3. Chip Set ID (located on the back of the box and can also be retrieved by pressing Menu and going through)
4. Country
5. Mobile Number

You can scan multiple satellites, however, you need to make sure that you have the correct dishes connected to your box. The box can handle a number of satellites through a Diseq switch. If you have the proper dish installation then all you need to do is

1. Goto menu
2. Use the arrow key to select “Installation”
3. Then in the following menu select “Easy Installation”
4. When you see the Satellite options, use the arrow keys to go to the satellites you wish to install and press “OK” to select
5. Once you’ve selected the satellites, you will need to press the “blue” button for LNB settings
1. Ensure it’s set to AUTO if you have a Universal LNB
2. Otherwise you will need to choose the appropriate LNB setting based on your configuration (including Diseq configuration)
6. After setting the LNB, you will need to make sure that Network Search is switched OFF
7. Then simply Press the RED button and the box will tune all the selected satellites. After which you’ll see the channels added.
8. All channels automatically get saved upon completion of this exercise.

You will need to use your own Hard Disk or a USB memory stick. The USB feature allows you to store as many programs as you wish. If the disk fills up, you can either use a new disk or delete content from the current disk. The Choice is Yours. Of course, on the T-786 decoder, you can use the USB to enjoy your own MEDIA files such as Photos, Music, Movies, Series and other shows.

Yes, to activate it the factory default password is "1234". You can access parental locl features by clicking MENY and navigating through to Parental Lock.
